Spain beat England2-1 in the final of the European Football Championships, Euro 2024.

Spain named an unchanged team for the match at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany while England handed defender Luke Shaw his first start since February.

Spanish winger Nico Williams opened the scoring early in the second half, while Cole Palmer came off the bench to level for the English.

Mikel Oyarzabal netted the winner with four minutes to play.

Spain have now won the European Championship for a record fourth time, while England have yet to win the continental competition.

Spain had won all six of their matches on the way to the final – a first by any side in the competition’s history.

England had recovered from several stumbles to produce their most effective performance in the semifinal win against the Netherlands.
