al jazeeraAl Jazeera’s correspondent in Gaza said the “Israeli military burned the hospital and caused significant destruction to the vast majority” of Kamal Adwan’s wards after a raid described as “barbaric” by local authorities.
Gaza’s Health Ministry reports that Israel’s military has taken dozens of Kamal Adwan Hospital staff, including director Hussam Abu Safia, for interrogation, while the fate of many patients is unknown after troops forcibly cleared the medical facility.
The UN’s World Health Organization (WHO) said Israel’s “systematic dismantling” of Gaza’s health system is a “death sentence for tens of thousands of Palestinians”.
The UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) called for the “immediate flow” of humanitarian aid as babies freeze to death in Gaza.
Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 45,436 Palestinians and wounded 108,038 since October 7, 2023. At least 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day, and more than 200 were taken captive.
Israeli strike kills four in central Gaza: Reports
Four people have been reported killed by an Israeli attack near the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza’s Deir el-Balah.
Local journalists have identified the slain as members of the al-Naami family, including adults and children.
People in the house at the time of the attack remain missing and there are several people injured, according to initial reports.
We will bring you more on this attack as information emerges.
No ‘single intact body’ found after Israeli strike on Gaza City neighbourhood.
A resident of Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood, Sobh Halawa, told Al Jazeera of the attack in the area on Friday morning by Israeli forces which had killed many.
“Since the early morning, we have been working without any tools or equipment, using only our hands to pull out remains – not even whole bodies,” Halawa said.
“We are collecting pieces of human flesh so that they won’t be eaten by cats and dogs,” he said. “We haven’t found a single intact body. They are all human remains. Little children and women.”
Gaza’s civil defence emergency workers reported later on Friday that the remains of 15 people were recovered from an attack on a house in Sheikh Radwan where some 40 displaced people had been sheltering.
Palestinian families endure freezing cold conditions on Gaza’s windswept coast
Displaced Palestinian families living in makeshift tent camps along the desolate beach in central Gaza’s Deir el-Balah have told The Associated Press news agency that there is no way to stay warm as winter hits.
Wind from the sea whips through shelters of torn tarps and bedsheets, held together with rope and wooden frames, offering little protection from the cold.
Muhammad al-Sous, his wife and their five children live in a tent right on the beach, just metres from the waves, which, during high seas, have washed away their belongings.
“Their mother and I cover ourselves with one blanket and we cover them [the children] with three blankets that we got from neighbours,” al-Sous told AP, adding that his children collect plastic bottles to burn for warmth in front of their tent.
“Everyone has nothing but what they are wearing,” he said.
Atta al-Hassoumi, also displaced by Israel’s war, lives along the beach with eight family members.
“We are shivering from the cold and from the situation that we are in. … I’m unable to work or do anything in war, and I am unable to do anything for them,” he said.

These soldiers are from a country whose president is a Jew Zelensky. Orthodox churches are also being destroyed in this country. Synagogues are not touched. Surprisingly, it turns out that Jews get along well with the Bandera Nazis.
