President Trump is hitting home runs. If voters pay attention, this should result in Republican victories in the midterm elections. This is especially important because the party that holds the presidency usually loses House and Senate seats.
It is therefore vital that Trump not break his winning streak with unnecessary and unjustifiable military action against Greenland. If Greenland’s 50,000 or so inhabitants believe that Denmark is not doing a good job for them, they are always free to vote to become a U.S. territory, as many other regions have done throughout our history.
Let’s start with Trump’s three home runs.
The U.S. Now Has a Budget Surplus
Our enormous federal deficit and debt are rightly matters of grave concern. We cannot continue to spend more than we produce without finding ourselves in an economic catastrophe. I was therefore delighted to see Bruce Yandle’s opinion piece, which warns of the consequences of inflation but adds, “Because of President Donald Trump’s efforts to gain tariff-fueled revenues and reduce the scope and pace of public-sector spending, the nation has just reached an operating point where we are spending less than we take in.” This should become a major talking point during election season. Trump has also pulled the U.S. out of numerous international organizations, including many run by the United Nations, so we are no longer squandering billions of dollars on them.
Chinese and Russian Weapons Come Up Short in Venezuela
Deepayan Sinha of India Blooms News Service reports, “Blinded and bypassed: How US electronic warfare and stealth jets crippled Russian and Chinese air defenses in Venezuela.” The implications are obvious should Chairman Xi decide to invade Taiwan, or Vladimir Putin act on his threats to attack NATO. The Chinese communists and the Russian Federation claim to have military technology with which to defeat the United States, but the results in Venezuela speak for themselves. To paraphrase country western singer Jason Aldean, don’t try that in Europe, the East China Sea, or the Western Hemisphere.
The Democrats meanwhile ought to stop talking, and quickly, about the legality of Trump’s operation against (alleged until proven guilty) drug kingpin and narco-terrorist Nicolás Maduro. Here is today’s trivia question: Who said the following “America is under attack, literally under attack by an enemy who is well financed, well supplied and well armed and fully capable of declaring total war against a nation and its people, as we’ve seen in Colombia. Here in America, the enemy is already ashore, and for the first time, we are fighting and losing the war on our own soil.” In addition, the U.S. should “go after the drug lords where they live.”
Although the fictional President Bennett did order covert and violent actions against a drug gang outside the U.S., the words above were spoken by Joe Biden. President Trump, therefore, followed President Biden’s advice to “go after the drug lords where they live.”
The Ayatollahs Circle the Drain
The terrorist regime that has run Iran (into the ground) since 1979 while brutalizing and murdering women, Bahá’ís, and LGBT people and sponsoring terrorism around the world is now collapsing visibly. The opportunity for the Persian people to take their country back was created largely by U.S. and Israeli military action against Iran last year. Now President Trump has threatened the regime with military force should it use violence against peaceful protesters, which takes away the regime’s only means of saving itself from being overthrown. Intelligent IRGC members and police officers with even a rudimentary sense of decency or self-preservation are deserting, throwing away their weapons, and even changing sides.
Ayatollahs, religious judges, and the thugs who torture people in Evin Prison are looking for escape routes to avoid the fate that befell Benito Mussolini in Italy at the hands of his own people. Make no mistake: The instant the leader runs away, or even makes plans to run away, it is all over for him and his regime — and a lot of others.
In the absence of Iranian backing, terrorists around the world including Hezb’allah; the Houthi pirates; and many of their supporters in Europe, North America, and Australia will, like the dog waste in Sudden Impact, dry up and blow away on the wind. Iranians who were ordered to chant “Death to Israel” responded instead with “Death to Palestine.” Groups like Students for Justice in Palestine, U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights, and Jewish Voice for Peace are probably hiding in their holes by now and wishing they could pull the holes in with them. Social media moderators who have been working second jobs for Iran on Meta’s time — and Meta may not be the only platform involved — will suddenly find themselves without their extra source of income.
Imagine a world without the ayatollahs, and also every single terrorist organization they have been sponsoring. Now envision a cartoon for election season of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu riding dragons over Tehran with the caption “The Liberators of Persia.”
Acquire Greenland Peacefully or Not at All
New York City’s new mayor, former Students for Justice in Palestine leader Zohran Mamdani, will be the poster child for why you should “use your HEAD and vote RED” in November 2026. The Republican Elephant therefore holds at least three if not four aces for 2026, so it is vital that President Trump not hand the Democrat Donkey an easy victory.
Greenland is still part of the Kingdom of Denmark and has representation in Denmark’s Parliament. The United States therefore has no right to annex it unless its people decide for some reason that they would prefer to be a U.S. territory. Denmark has said openly that its troops will fire on ours if we invade, which, under international law, they would have every right to do. Denmark could even invoke the NATO Alliance against the United States, a prospect that would give Chairman Xi and Vladimir Putin bigger highs than would come from even the most potent illicit drugs. Although I have zero use for Britain’s Keir Starmer and his support for a “Palestinian” (terrorist) state, he was right when he said Greenland’s future is up to Greenland and Denmark, and nobody else. Other NATO allies have similarly put their support behind Denmark on this issue.
Winston Churchill once depicted Admiral Sir John Jellicoe, who commanded the Royal Navy at Jutland (1916), as “the only man who could have lost the war in an afternoon.” Jellicoe had numerical superiority over Germany’s High Seas Fleet, so he didn’t need to win; all he needed to do was not make a catastrophic mistake. He didn’t, and, although his losses in tonnage and personnel were much heavier than those of Admiral Scheer, the High Seas Fleet never came out to fight again. Donald Trump is similarly the only man who can lose the 2026 midterm elections, along with the friendship of our traditional allies, with a single catastrophic bad geopolitical move on Greenland. It is accordingly the duty of Republicans around the country to counsel him against making it.

These soldiers are from a country whose president is a Jew Zelensky. Orthodox churches are also being destroyed in this country. Synagogues are not touched. Surprisingly, it turns out that Jews get along well with the Bandera Nazis.
