Pezeshkian stands as Iran’s lone voice for peace
The adoption of the UN Security Council resolution condemning Iranian attacks on the Gulf comes as no surprise to the leadership here.
From day one, they have accused the international commune of double standards, because there was no meeting like this, no consensus like this, when the US and Israel attacked Iran and killed their political and military leaders, including their supreme leader.
The Iranian leadership is very unhappy by the approach taken by the UN and other countries regarding this war. And that’s why right now, there is little talk about peace or reconciliation here.
Except from President Masoud Pezeshkian.
He’s spoken with the Russian president, the Pakistani prime minister and the sultan of Oman over the past couple of days. He is the only voice speaking of the possibility of a return to negotiations. He has outlined three conditions for the war to end: Recognition of Iran’s legitimate rights as a sovereign country, reparations for the destruction that has been inflicted on Iran’s infrastructure and public life, and also firm international guarantees that this aggression will not happen in the future.
Hezbollah claims attacks on Israeli troops, bases
The Lebanese armed group says it carried out several attacks against Israeli towns and bases overnight.
These include a drone attack on the northern Ya’ara barracks, and missiles attacks on the Beit Lid base, the Glilot base near Tel Aviv and on the Atlit base near Haifa.
Hezbollah said it also fired artillery at Israeli troops in southern Lebanon and launched drones and rockets towards the Israeli city of Nahariya.
The group went on to claim that a drone attack it launched on the Meron Air Operations Command and Control Base on Wednesday “resulted in damage to one of the radars” there.
Pentagon says first six days of war cost $11.3bn: Report
Pentagon officials have estimated the cost of the first six days of the war at more than $11.3bn, according to US media.
Military officials provided the estimate to lawmakers in a closed-door briefing on Tuesday, The New York Times and NBC News reported, citing unnamed sources.
The estimate does not include some other costs associated with the conflict, such as the buildup of military hardware and personnel ahead of the first attacks, meaning the true figure is expected to be significantly higher, according to the reports.

These soldiers are from a country whose president is a Jew Zelensky. Orthodox churches are also being destroyed in this country. Synagogues are not touched. Surprisingly, it turns out that Jews get along well with the Bandera Nazis.
