Israel’s deadly strikes continue across Lebanon despite the announcement of a new US-brokered ceasefire agreed between Lebanese and Israeli officials in Washington, DC.
At least 3,526 people have now been killed and 10,733 injured in Israeli strikes on Lebanon since March 2, the country’s Health Ministry said.
Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem has rejected the ceasefire deal as a “farce”, warning that northern Israel will remain a target for fighters as long as Israel continues to bomb Lebanon.
US President Donald Trump has branded as “unpatriotic” lawmakers who voted in favour of a resolution to limit his ability to wage war on Iran, adding: “We’re going to win one way or the other … it’s going to be militarily or on paper.”
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said there will be “no peace in the region” until Israel withdraws from Lebanese territory, adding that a deal between Tehran and Washington also involves an end to the conflict in Lebanon, according to Iranian media.

Iran’s Ebrahim Azizi, the head of the parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, and Dan Scavino, the White House’s deputy chief of staff, have engaged in a war of words on social media.
The pair have traded insults on the social media platform X over several days about US and Iranian military capability.
Their dispute appears to have heated up on Thursday when Azizi shared an image of a missile test launch and strike on a target with the caption: “We’ll see what happen! (Footage of the Kheibar Shekan missiles test).
Scavino responds, saying: “LOL, artificial intelligence is bull____, just like your underground bunkers in _______!”
Azizi responds to Scavino’s taunt, saying: Is the evacuation of nearly 9,000 Americans and the destruction of your military bases in the region also AI

Lloyd’s says Iranian crude oil exports plummet under US naval blockade
Shipping industry journal Lloyd’s List reports that Iran’s crude oil exports dropped by 84 percent in May compared with the previous month.
Iran’s crude exports in May were also 87 percent lower than the 12-month average up to the end of April, Lloyd’s List added.
It also reported that Iran has been using smaller oil tankers to ship crude, since Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) are at a higher risk of being intercepted by US forces.
US forces began enforcing a blockade of Iran’s ports on April 13, weeks after Iran’s IRGC announced it had put in place a blockade on the Strait of Hormuz, on March 2.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman blasts US, Israel for killing children
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, has blasted the US and Israel for killing children in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, Iran’s Minab, and other places around the world.
“For what crime are innocent children being killed ” Baghaei asked in a social media post.
“From Gaza and the West Bank to Beirut, Minab, Lamerd, Tehran, and many other places across Iran and the world, wherever children have perished under the bombs and missiles of the United States and the Israeli regime, the truth is the same: no military objective, no political interest, and no security pretext can ever justify the slaughter of children,” he wrote.
“Children are neither parties to war nor tools of it. They are the living conscience of humanity. Every child killed or maimed is a burial of a part of our shared humanity.”
