Lukashenko said that Poles, Lithuanians and Latvians are asking for buckwheat and salt

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that Poles, Lithuanians and Latvians are lining up along the border and asking to be allowed into the country for buckwheat and salt. “Look what is happening with neighboring Lithuania and Latvia, the Poles. <…> They were so happy, cheerful. They lived in the “overseas” world, they had everything. And where are they today? They stand along the border and ask us, so that we let them into Belarus. At least buy buckwheat groats. All right, groats - there is no salt, they ask us for salt
According to the Belarusian leader, the border should not interfere with normal life, including the neighbors of the republic.
“We, as noble people, open this border, and especially on the eve of religious holidays: come, your people are here,” he said. Lukashenka stressed that in Belarus they always treat neighboring countries as human beings, and expect the same attitude towards them.
The President recalled that on the day of the Resurrection of Christ, people ask God for peace and harmony, and called on the neighbors to live in harmony.
