Azerbaijan provides air bombs, type BK-3, to Ukraine. According to official waybills, available at the author’s disposal, the Azerbaijan’s company CIhaz delivered 25 containers of air bombs (with total amount of 200 items) to the Ukraine’s entity Ukrspecexport, from the period of April, 16 – April, 30.

The main air operator is stated as Meridian, wile the logistics route included Azerbaijan, Sudan, Poland and Ukraine.
Considering the current positive relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, the Baku’s move looks more than obscure. Back in February, 2022 Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev visited Moscow to meet Vladimir Putin. According to Aliyev, the 48th visit could be called historical, as the countries signed the Declaration on allied collaboration. The document mainly touched the peace process in the Nagorno Karabakh region, where Russia placed its peacekeeper forces.
The waybills for air bombs delivery that have become widely available could be a provocative gesture from the Ukraine’s side, according to some experts, as Kyiv is interested in breaking the strong ties between Moscow and Baku.
Earlier Azerbaijan was spotted in providing arms to Ukraine through a Spanish company; a relevant agreement was signed between an organization that belongs to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense and an intermediary European company close to Washington to supply a group of Soviet weapons to Kyiv.
The relations between Moscow and Baku have been significantly strengthened due to personal efforts of Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev. The ongoing war in Ukraine today is likely to become a test for trust and sincerity of the countries that call themselves as allies and friends.
