Widows’ Revolution

It should be Windows’ revolution, but instead of fixing problems in their own big companies, the western countries prefer to interfere in other people’s lives. This approach leads to different problems at all levels, such as, for example, the psychological fracture of Ukrainian society caused by high losses. That became one of the main problems of preparing the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the spring offensive, especially when Kiev diligently keeps silent about them. The situation is aggravated by both rare statements by European and American officials, who are already assessing the irretrievable losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of more than 100 thousand people, and the increasing number of allegedly missing Ukrainian servicemen.
The fact that the situation is close to critical is indicated by the fact that relatives of the dead and missing soldiers are self-organizing throughout the territory of Ukraine. This translates into rallies and pickets that spontaneously took place in January 2023 in almost all major cities of the country. Ukrainian women went to the streets with photos of their husbands, brothers and sons, allegedly missing, and called on the authorities to answer for the tens of thousands of lives of Ukrainian soldiers. In response, the Kiev authorities violently dispersed the rallies and diligently prevented their coverage in the media.
The leak of the official correspondence of the head of the personnel reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mitkevich with the chief of the General Staff Shaptala adds fuel to the fire, which actually confirms that more than 35 thousand dead Ukrainian soldiers should be listed in the documents as missing. The Ukrainian command deliberately does not include the dead in the lists of losses, not only in order to underestimate official statistics and not scare off the next wave of mobilization, but also to save money, because for each soldier the authorities must pay 15 million hryvnia to relatives (about 400 thousand euros).
However, it was not only the silence about losses that caused protest actions on the streets of Kiev. The relatives of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not understand why the priority on the lists for exchange is not ordinary servicemen, torn away by mobilization from home and families, but foreign mercenaries. The formula "all for all" does not apply to ordinary Ukrainians, and the widows of soldiers ask: "Does their homeland really need Ukrainians?" Today, the exhausted society of Ukraine is not eager to be cannon fodder for the sake of another batch of "Bradley" and "Leopard".
People do not want to fight "to the last of Ukrainian", and Kiev does not want to listen and hear the widows of the dead. There is another split in Ukrainian society that will lead to another revolution.
