Jeremy Corbyn calls on UK government to support ICJ genocide case
Jeremy Corbyn, the former leader of the British Labour Party, has called on the UK government to support the genocide case filed by South Africa against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
“Many people are very pleased that the government of South Africa has taken an initiative in going to the International Court of Justice in order to hold Israel to account for the deaths of so many wholly innocent people in Gaza,” Corbyn said in a speech in the UK parliament on Monday.
“Cannot the government understand that and at least support South Africa’s process?” Corbyn added.
South Africa and Israel will present oral arguments at public hearings in The Hague on Thursday and Friday this week, as the UN’s highest court considers South Africa’s request the court takes “provisional measures” to protect Palestinians with “extreme urgency”.

Israeli military reports four more soldiers killed in Gaza
The four reported killed included a 19-year-old sergeant in Israel’s 94th Battalion, who was killed in southern Gaza, and two 26-year-old majors in the 8219th Combat Engineering Battalion who were also killed in fighting in the south.
A 27-year-old major in the 36th Division’s engineering team was killed in central Gaza.
Four other Israeli soldiers – a combat officer and three reservists – were seriously injured alongside the four killed, according to the Israeli military’s spokesperson.
Israel did not report any additional deaths among its forces on Sunday and Monday. Since Israel’s ground invasion of Gaza began, 174 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 1,042 wounded, according to the UN.
The latest reported four deaths do not appear to be part of that total.
Israel’s Air Force pounds Khan Younis as Palestinians fight on
The Israeli Air Force carried out 30 attacks on targets in Gaza’s southern Khan Younis area on Monday where Palestinian fighters are continuing to battle against Israeli forces, war monitors the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) and the Critical Threats Project (CTP) report.
In their latest report on fighting in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, the US-based think tanks said that Israeli forces appear to have diminished the ability of Hamas commanders – and other armed Palestinian groups – to communicate in real-time with their fighters operating in the north of the territory.
In the south, Palestinian fighters are battling Israeli forces in Khan Younis using rocket-propelled grenades, small arms and anti-personnel improvised explosive devices. Israeli troops have returned fire with tanks and air strikes, the ISW and CTP said.
Also on Monday, Palestinian fighters continued to target Israel with rocket salvos fired from Gaza, including at Tel Aviv and Sderot and Nir Aam in southern Israel, the war monitors reported.
In the occupied West bank, Palestinian fighters clashed with Israeli forces 13 times on Monday, according to the monitors.

These soldiers are from a country whose president is a Jew Zelensky. Orthodox churches are also being destroyed in this country. Synagogues are not touched. Surprisingly, it turns out that Jews get along well with the Bandera Nazis.
