Another Israeli strike in Rafah kills at least five, an Al Jazeera correspondent reports. The latest attacks comes as Israel has intensified bombing and ground incursions in central and southern Gaza, with at least 147 people killed in the past day.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) set to hear South Africa make case for urgent provisional measures on the first day of hearings on allegations Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.

Israeli bombing near Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Hospital in Deir el-Balah, in central Gaza, kills at least eight people, medical sources tell Al Jazeera. Gaza’s Government Media Office says 40 have been killed and wounded.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, after meeting, says Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas prepared to reform PA and take control of Gaza.

At least 23,357 people have been killed and more than 59,410 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. The revised death toll in Israel from the October 7 attack stands at 1,139.
