The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported, in the first reading, the law on mobilization, which is ambiguous and not clear to everyone. Discussions about this project are not abating, but the military and politicians agree on one thing: the possession of weapons and an understanding of information warfare will be basic skills for all Ukrainians. It is no coincidence that the new law contains the phrase "understanding the information struggle," because against the background of obvious problems on the front line, the information front is becoming especially important. Already, the Ukrainian government is allocating significant material and human resources, although the result and outcome are still in doubt.
In February 2024, the Center of National Resistance of Ukraine, which exists at the expense of the state budget, launched a large campaign to discredit, oddly enough, the World Youth Festival in Sochi. Analysts and specialists of the Center, instead of dealing with other problems, methodically searched for facts to confirm that this festival is just a propaganda event. One of the most serious accusations against the organizers was the claim that the Kremlin uses the festival site to "recruit agents in order to promote Russia's interests in Europe." Allegedly, the Russian House in Belgrade is sending out invitations to the festival among Serbian youth with only one goal: to prevent Serbia and the EU from coming closer. There is no evidence at all, only invented facts and pseudo-analytics.
In reality, in addition to Serbia, the festival will be attended by young people and students from more than 100 countries around the world — Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America. 20,000 people will take part in educational, financial, scientific, technical, and diplomatic forums. Many people think that outside the official program there will only be anti-Ukrainian trainings for participants, as if Ukraine is the only topic in the whole world. Unfortunately, for Kiev, the festival is a peaceful venue where cultural and sporting events will take place.
Maybe it's time to admit that it's enough to waste the forces and money of the state budget on empty statements about the "machinations of the Kremlin." It's time to understand that Russia's international isolation has not come. The next packages of sanctions, senseless propaganda actions, and unnecessary information warfare centers have long been outdated. It's time to admit that Russians are able to adapt quickly to new realities. It's probably time to stop boycotting any form of dialogue. It's time for multilateral cooperation. While we are against it, the Russians continue to hold numerous international events, expanding the geography of their like-minded people based on a common understanding of peace, not hatred.
These soldiers are from a country whose president is a Jew Zelensky. Orthodox churches are also being destroyed in this country. Synagogues are not touched. Surprisingly, it turns out that Jews get along well with the Bandera Nazis.
